Concierge Doctors – Returning to a new future of House Calls.

Imagine texting your physician with a question about a new medication or video conferencing when you become ill while traveling. How about just scheduling a time for your doctor to come by your house for a checkup. A local physician offers two membership levels of service monthly or annual.

Monthly members get same-day or next-day appointments, little or no office wait time, leisurely visits, physical exams, adoption and sports physicals, travel medicine consultation and direct access by cell, email, text and video chat. He also advocates house calls for those who are elderly, on bed rest or in hospice care.

Annual members get the same level of service as monthly members plus priority scheduling, coordination of hospital care and personal health advocacy. For example, if a patient is hospitalized, Marable goes to the hospital to work with doctors and translates to the patient details of their care

“There are a lot of misconceptions about direct, concierge care, and I would say most working folks could afford my care.”

It is a service Becci Bookner, CEO of Family Staffing Solutions, has wanted to provide her clients – average age of 80-100 – for some time now. “We have one woman who is 98, and by the time we take her to the doctor – she is in Nashville and he is in Murfreesboro – it takes four hours to get her dressed and get up there for 10 minutes with the doctor,” she says.

This is why Family Staffing Solutions is partnered with Dr. Jim Garner in Murfreesboro, TN who will be making house calls for clients in need of his services at home. For more information on this new (old) idea, read more at www.nashvilleledger.com.

For most people especially over the age of 60, it’s best to stay inside during excessive heat. Air conditioning is the best way to protect yourself against heat-related illness and death, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you are exerting yourself outside, it’s safer to do it before midday and stay hydrated and going more slowly. Experts say that over time, your body can adjust, ”Humans have “an amazing ability to thermo-regulate during heat.” According to Southwestern Medical Center at Texas Presbyterian, ”We defend our temperature… humans are actually well-adapted to deal with heat provided we can sweat, so our physiology is very cool.” People over age 60 are most vulnerable to weather conditions. Medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, respiratory conditions or weight issues hamper the body’s ability to regulate its core temperatures in extreme cold or heat.

When people go outside into summer weather heat over 90 degrees, the body can sense this assault to itself and will begin to fight to keep the body temperature cool. ” It has be proven over and over that heat waves do more than make us cross and sluggish. Searing temperatures kill more people in the U.S. than hurricanes, lightning, tornadoes, floods and earthquakes combined. So go and make some icy cold lemonade and relax. The summer is almost over.

At Family Staffing Solutions, Inc. we care about your health.

New service reintroduces delivery of healthcare in the home

Murfreesboro, TN–Well-known Murfreesboro physician, Dr. Jim Garner, has expanded his practice to include house calls for clients of Family Staffing Solutions, Inc. on an exclusive basis announced Becci Bookner, president and CEO of Family Staffing Solutions, Inc. of Murfreesboro. Bookner believes that Family Staffing Solutions is the first personal care company in Tennessee to provide this service to its clients through an alliance with a private medical practitioner.

“The return of house call visits by a doctor is welcome and needed by many older people in our community who simply cannot manage the trip to the doctor’s office,” stated Bookner. “Clients of our company may now again access the familiar and longtime appreciated service of a doctor’s house calls in the privacy and convenience of their homes.”

Dr. Garner is an internal medicine specialist and a lifelong resident of Murfreesboro who has a sincere interest in the health care of community residents. He has served in many prominent positions including Chief of Medicine and Chief of Staff at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. His philosophy of medical practice combines the foundation of evidence-based knowledge with commonsense and compassion.

“It is our mission to take care of people. The alliance with Family Staffing Solutions will create new and innovative ways to facilitate this mission as the health care climate continues to change and evolve,” stated Dr. Garner, a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School who completed his residency at Pensacola Educational Program.

Bookner noted, “Many of our clients who are enjoying the advantages of remaining in their homes, independent, and in charge of their lives have, in the past, had to access their personal physician by traveling to the doctor’s office or to the emergency room. Through this strategic partnership with a physician, clients of Family Staffing Solutions can, upon request, now can access Dr. Garner’s staff to provide in-home visits for their primary care medical needs.”

She pointed out that this service is distinctly different from the ‘concierge medicine’ practice that is emerging across the country. She noted that the personal access to Dr. Jim Garner, provided exclusively to the clients of Family Staffing Solutions can provide the same level of access to primary medical careas concierge medicine without the annual fee.

“Family Staffing Solutions, Inc. maintains a unique position locally and nationwide within a profession that is experiencing dynamic change in ways to care for loved ones. The introduction of this new exclusive service by our company is one more innovative way that meeting the specialized care needs of our aging loved ones is changing,” concluded Bookner, founder of the second oldest privately owned company of its type in the United States in 1993 and of Family Staffing Solutions, Inc.
There is good news about.

If you are a resident of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and you are wondering where there is exceptional personal care to be found, look no further than Family Staffing Solutions, Inc.

Recently it was announced that a new office of the organization was opened in Murfreesboro, TN, to serve the locale and the surrounding population in Rutherford County. Many have already welcomed the new office as there continues to be a great need for the excellent personal care assistance Family Staffing Solutions is well- known to provide.

Ms. Lorrie Riley has been hired as the Director of the new Murfreesboro office. Lorrie comes to FSS after more than 20 years in the public services industry.

Lorre is more than familiar with joys and challenges of providing excellent care for others. Her own grandmother and her great aunt, ages 92 and 95 respectively were very influential in her life. In fact, Lorre has always enjoyed the companionship of those quite a few generations older than herself. She said, “The wisdom and richness of life of those older than me has always been a pleasure to witness.

Lorrie has said that her goal is to improve the quality and environment of those she works with. She certainly believes that companionship does not mean babysitting or merely addressing the needs of the living but an opportunity for building a relationship that will improve the life of the giver and receiver. Those who know Lorrie best refer to her as “caring, spiritual, and a great listener. When she is not working, she is engaged in decorating, artistic projects and crafts where her talents produce beautiful pieces she can bestow on others.

It is great news that we can call on Family Staffing for our loved ones and friends as the need arises and that Lorrie Riley will be directing the operation.

If you are in the area please say, “Hello.” If you are in need of their services for a loved one or family member, you can be sure to find the highest standard of care available when you contact Family Staffing Solutions, Inc. 615-848-6774.
